WISCONSINREPORT.COM (11/19/07) - U.S. Senator Russ Feingold has growing concern over Federal Communications Commission encouragement to big business to own more and more radio and television stations. That practice, in many cases, takes away local control of news and programming aired on broadcast stations throughout the country. Senator Feingold supports Senator Dorgan’s Media Ownership Act to improve transparency in media ownership rulemaking. However, a University of Wisconsin - Madison professor is suggesting that the film might do justice to the famous poem that it is based on. The movie, Beowulf, stars Angelina Jolie, and features a combination of live action and illustration in what Professor John Niles says is a sexed up version of the story. The website tells the story of his career both in front of and behind the cameras. The man, who these days is well known for being the father of actor and producer Michael Douglas, is the dimple chinned movie star who starred in the original Spartacus.
