WISCONSINREPORT.COM (08/06/08) - Madison Magazine's August issue online has a gem of a suggestion for the Packer's Brett Favre to do now that he is no longer the likely quarterback for this season. John Roach suggests that Brett should sit down at the kitchen table and apply to be the vice president of the United States. Roach goes on to explain that Favre would get out of the house, and, still get some love from the adoring throngs, but not have the threat of being broken into small pieces every Sunday. WISCONSINREPORT.COM (07/03/08) - Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Congress approved the wording of the Declaration on July 4th in that year. It became Independence Day in 1791, and wasn't a federal holiday until 1870 when congress made it an unpaid federal holiday. WISCREPORT.COM (10/30/07) - What an exciting, whirlwind of a football game on ESPN Monday night! After a fast paced game, where the Denver Broncos seemed to shine more than many sports pundits expected, it looked like the Green Bay Packers might lose a game they were expected to win. The Packers didn't score the entire second half on Monday night but in the last seconds, the game was tied, prompting overtime action, which gave the Pack the opportunity to score, and they did. When it was over, the Packers record was 6 wins and one loss to this point in the season. (read more)...
WISCREPORT.COM (10/2/07) – Wisconsin’s own Bradley Whitford, former regular on West Wing and actor on many television programs and motion pictures, no longer has a regular job, again. If you are one of those viewers who have been looking for Studio 60 to return to your weekly fix, the show, which also starred Matthew Perry from Friends, was canceled by NBC after Studio 60’s ratings dipped considerably from its debut to the end of the run (or is it on hiatus?).
