WISCONSINREPORT.COM (10/20/08) - WAUSAU Financial Systems (WFS) have announced the addition of Charlie Gibbons as its Executive Vice President of Strategic Business Development. Gibbons has over 30 years of highly successful executive and strategic management experience in all facets of the outsourcing industry. Recognized by many as an outsourcing pioneer, Gibbons has worked closely with major corporations such as IBM, Shell Oil, Avon Products, Dun and Bradstreet and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Gibbons will use his experience in outsourcing in his position at WFS.
Gibbons will help set and execute WFS' strategic direction in its newly announced outsourcing venture with First Data Corporation, which will allow WFS the ability to provide full-service processing. Gibbons role will include setting the strategic focus for the outsourcing initiative, including the coordination of all sales, marketing, product management, operations and product development efforts.
"Charlie's depth of knowledge and experience in the outsourcing industry are evident in his chain of successes," said WAUSAU Financial Systems Chief Executive Officer Joe Delgadillo.
"He truly understands the challenges and opportunities associated with developing an outsourcing business and will energize our new partnership, which will provide the greatest breadth of solutions for businesses looking to maximize efficiency with WFS payment and remittance solutions," Delgadillo said.
The WFS payments solution includes technology that was rated "Best of Breed" by Boston-based Celent and "Best in Class" by analyst firm Aite Group. WFS is the market leader in remittance technology, with technology solutions that process nearly 4 billion transactions annually.
"I am excited to be part of the WFS team, and to be leading their outsourcing efforts. Our newly announced partnership will give both corporate and financial institutions innovative solutions to maintain the most advanced technology while reducing their own processing and capital investments," said Gibbons.
"WFS is committed to maintaining the best-of-breed processing technology and I am looking forward to working with our partners and customers in growing this business and expanding our solutions and value," Gibbons said.
Prior to joining WAUSAU Financial Systems, Gibbons served as president of Geller Services LLC, a division of the accounting and tax outsourcing firm Geller and Company. In the mid 1990's Gibbons was president and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Services, an outsourcing subsidiary of Dun and Bradstreet Corporation. When the corporation changed direction, Gibbons launched the venture on his own and grew it to annual revenues of $450 million as Intellisource.
