WISCREPORT- Former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson says, in an ad supporting Mark Green's campaign for governor, that Jim Doyle has "failed us" and that he's "lying about Mark Green to cover it up."

"Wisconsin was the envy of the nation," Thompson says in the ad. "Now jobs are leaving because our taxes are too high. Jim Doyle doesn't want to talk about his record of high taxes and young people leaving. We need a new governor. We need Mark Green."

"I'm honored to have the support of Tommy Thompson, a friend and role model," said Mark Green, Republican candidate for governor.

"Under Tommy's leadership, Wisconsin cut taxes, created thousands of new jobs and became a national leader on education and welfare reform. As governor, I'll work to undo the damage Jim Doyle has done and put Wisconsin back on track", Green stated.

Thompson also debunks Jim Doyle's repeated lies about Mark Green's position on stem cell research, saying, "Mark supports stem cell research. Don't let anyone tell you different."
